Kakadu Wood Painting Workshops

For a special birthday, Bar Mitzvah, or Bat Mitzvah activity, bring your guests to Kakadu’s art gallery, which is surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve, for a special and personalized craft workshop. You can choose from a variety of handcrafted wood products to paint, including bulletin boards, clocks, door signs, pencil holders, paper holders, and mirrors. The young artists use special paints and stamps under the guidance of Kakadu’s staff to create their own colorful masterpieces to take home with them.
The workshop lasts for about 2 hours, and includes a short talk by Kakadu founder Reut Shahar, painting the project of choice, and snacks. In addition, you are welcome to arrange for a catered meal in the tranquil setting surrounding the gallery or a local hike can be arranged for your guests either before or after the workshop. Kakadu can accommodate up to 100 people per workshop. The idea of the workshops is for the participants to have fun and to connect to their artistic inner selves.

Workshops are educational, creative, artistic, and fun. In addition to providing a quality activity, Kakadu also provides a snack buffet, and the kids make their own party favors, so this is really an all-in-one type of event. Also a great "grown-up" birthday activity idea.
We went to Kakadu as one of the stops on a day of activities and tiyulim for my nephew's Bar Mitzvah. All the cousins,aunts, uncles were together in the back art room. We each created our own original kakadu style woodwork. My kids from 3 to 17 loved it! The Kakadu staff were patient and helpful and had it set up to run so smoothly. At the end we were able to shop right there at the Kakadu store. It was all so much fun!
