About This Vendor:

Masada is a rugged, ancient fortress built by King Herod.  It is located in the Judean Desert overlooking the Dead Sea. Masada is the symbol of Jewish strength, bravery, and resolve; and is therefore a meaningful place for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or wedding ceremony. In addition to its historical significance, people choose to celebrate on Masada because of the spectacular views from the summit of the fortress and the magnificent landscape.  Cable cars take visitors up and down the fortress.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies are held in the remains of the synagogue, one of the world’s oldest synagogues still in use.  After the ceremony, you can take a guided tour of the fortress and see the remains of the palaces, bathhouses, storehouses, and cisterns that King Herod built.  There is no catering allowed at the top of Masada; however, you can continue the celebration either at the foot of Masada or at nearby Eretz Ein Gedi.

If you are considering celebrating your special occasion on Masada, we recommend that you speak with an event planner to help coordinate the arrangements.

Why We Like This Vendor:
The story of Masada is touching, tragic, and poignant, and adds a strong element of emotion to every event that takes place there.
